midifruuze is a live MIDI sampler and effect that offers a unique functionality. Users can capture the most recent 10 seconds of incoming MIDI data and reproduce it through various available playback modes. The application fully supports all channel messages, while MIDI SysEx, System Common, and Realtime messages are excluded from current support.

Playback modes include:

Scrub Pitch / Scratch Pitch: This mode transposes notes based on the touch's vertical position while retaining note velocity. Note repetition does not occur during position changes.
Scrub Velocity / Scratch Velocity: Here, note velocity adjusts according to the touch's vertical position without repeating the same note during position alterations.
Freeze: Selected notes repeat based on the rate determined by the touch's position. Changes in vertical touch position influence velocity.
Hit: This mode plays a single note upon pressing, with vertical positioning determining velocity.

The application is available as both a standalone tool and an AUv3 plugin.
